Why Choose Us

Happy Smiles and Happy Hearts

It may be helpful for thoughtful people surfing the market and considering orthodontic treatment for themselves or their children to visit Dr. Rider’s orthodontic office and experience our “Bright Smiles and Bright Eyes” philosophy.  By Bright Eyes we are referring to the attitude our patients demonstrate when they enter our office or talk about how their experience in this office has so profoundly enriched their lives.  Their eyes light up when they come into our office or talk with their friends about who we are and why they are so happy they chose our office for their orthodontics.

Our job is to encourage our patients to be the best they can be in every facet of their lives using their orthodontic experience in this office as the catalyst to achieve goals worthy of giving their best efforts.

We are about giving greater value to their lives than just a beautiful smile.  We want our patients to be infectious believers in themselves and their future, to see the beauty in themselves and who they are and who they are becoming.

We want to be a lasting influence on the lives of those we serve, well beyond just helping them create a captivating smile for themselves.  If what we offer resonates with your expectations of “The Best of the Best”, check us out.  You will be glad you did.

What is the difference between an Orthodontist and a General Dentist?

There is a clear distinction between a General Dentist and an Orthodontist when considering orthodontic treatment for you or your child based primarily, on level of post graduate orthodontic education beyond dental school, expertise, experience and commitment to excellence in ones chosen field.

A General Dentist is a graduate of a four-year dental school and practices general dentistry, whereas an Orthodontist is a dentist that limits his/her practice to orthodontics alone by virtue of two to three years of additional full time graduate training in orthodontics, specializing in orthodontic treatment for adults and children and a qualified member of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO). Dr Rider is Board Certified by the AAO and a long time member of the prestigious College of the American Board of Orthodontists. His education, experience and expertise is unmatched in the Charlotte area. When the best is available why not choose the best.
